Resource Nurse - Part Time Location: * Oklahoma City, OK Job Summary: This telephone nursing position will be responsible for taking in-coming calls for the 24/7 Nurse Advice Line, Healthlink. The Resource Nurse will receive calls from affiliate hospital an! d members contracted with Healthlink.* The part time position ! will be 16 hours a week Tuesday and Wednesday from midnight to 8:00 am. Position Responsibilities: This position entails use of computerized protocols to perform triage on patients making inbound telephone calls. The nurse in this position will work under the direction of the manager of nursing operations.
Duties include use of multi-line telephone system, data entry during triage calls, concise and accurate documentation, use of external support services, delegation of clerical duties to non-licensed staff and ability to perform several tasks (i.e., talk, type and use computer mouse) at once. Position Requirements: Nursing degree required; Poses current license as registered Nurse in the state of Oklahoma Candidate must have unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in OK At least 2-4 years current nursing / clinical experience Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience within last 3 years Must have ability to accurately type 30+ wpm or more Mus! t have basic computer skills working in Microsoft Office Ability to multi-task and make prudent decisions about patients on the phone Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional phone presence Customer-focused (both internal and external) Ability to make accurate assessments from members calling for help and work independently Willingness to learn new skills and grow in the profession Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing required Please refer to our website to view our exceptional benefits that start day one! * Equal Opportunity Employer/AA* M/F/D/V * See Job Description See Job Description
