Provides support to units by coordinating
staffing of direct care personnel, assures staffing meet! s corporate
policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines, and acuity
levels. Maintains record
of staffing for review during regulatory agency
audits.

Monitors changing staffing needs based upon acuity and
census. Communicates
necessary staffing changes to supervisors. Communicates each use of agency staff to Human
Resources.

Monitors staffing needs, assists with recruitment. Assures that personnel
performance issues are directed in a timely manner to
supervisors. Maintains
records of personnel absence and tardiness for residential and
nursing services.
Maintains an accurate list of available staff, maintains the
supervisors book for accuracy.

Monitors overtime and initiates necessary actions to keep
overtime at a minimum.

Coordinates and assists in providing off-grounds transportation
for inpatients. Provides
emergency coverage to units.
Maintains professional demeanor.! Performs other duties as
assigned.

Requirements !

Skills, Knowledge, &

Abilities :
·
Awareness and understanding of experiential therapy standards
of practice.

·
Able to perform assessment, treatment planning.

·
Able to perform individual and group experiential therapy and
group leadership skills.

·
Professional
verbal and written skills for communicating the patient status, and
treatment needs to payers, families, professionals, paraprofessional
employees of the hospital.

·
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient
information.

·
Ability to
maintain therapeutic and professional relationships with staff,
patients and consumers.

·
Able to make
serious safety decisions and react calmly in emergency
situations.

·
Skill in
developing therapeutic relationships with adolescents (ages 12-18),
and children (ages 4-12).

·
Knowledge of a! nd adherence to company safety
practices.

Education/Training:
·
Must be at
least 21 years of age.

·
High School
Graduate or Equivalency

·
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or
related field
