The Infection Control/Employee Health Nurse Coordinator applies knowledge and skills, professionally in daily performance of Infection Control (IC) and hospital quality activities. These responsibilities include (! but are not limited to) surveillance, analysis, reporting, and recording activities as well as setting standards and evaluating compliance for practices that are associated with the prevention and control of health care associated infections. The program coordinator complies with the mandates of required accrediting and regulatory agencies and communicates pertinent information to the members of senior management and medical staff. In the event the coordinator does not possess a minimum of one year’s experience, a consultant (a physician or nurse credentialed by experience or education) shall be available as the need arises.

Manage, administrative and clinical functions of Employee Health Services to include new hire assessment, substance abuse testing, and vaccination program.

Coordination of the Workers Comp program.. Handles WC new hire orientation, education, Work Comp inservices and facilitating the employee’s workers comp process from beginning t! o end.

Requirements:
Must have RN license,! prefer previous work in a hospital setting in infection control.
