At
Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health System (SMBHS) excitement, fun,

the lif! e of a child are all a part of the job. SMBHS is a psychiatric
hospital offering a comprehensive continuum of behavioral healthcare
services including acute, residential, therapeutic foster care,
school-based and outpatient programs for children, adolescents and
their families. Our three Tulsa locations include the following
facilities: classrooms, gymnasium, children's playground, football
field, vegetable garden, exercise area, safe modern playground
equipment, and dining room.

Nurses (RNs and LPNs) are
responsible for providing safe, effective patient care, and supervise
paraprofessional direct care staff. The Nurse has a significant role
in direct patient care and is a principle element in assuring
adherance to prescribed treatment, patient well being, and providing
a safe and therapeutic environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Medication Administration
CPR, First Aid, Mental
Healt! h Assessment, and prescribed medical treatment
Conducts Admissions, transfers, discharges and related nursing assessments
Provides timely, thorough, and accurate documentation of patient
behavior and response to treatment interventions
Implements
behavioral interventions
Facilitates medication education and
nursing education groups to patients and families
Therapeutic
patient interactions and ability to set limits effectively
De-escalation, self protection, and patient containment skills when
managing aggressive patients.
(RN only) Supervision of Special
Treatment Interventions, including de-escalation, early intervnetion
procedures, Time Out, Physical Restraint, and Seclusion.
Conducts debriefings subsequent to all Special Treatment
Interventions
Supervises direct care workers to assure proper
implementation of structure and milieu and behavioral interventions

Supervises direct care workers to assure that 15-minute safety
and well being checks we! re conducted in accordance with protocols
Adheres to UHS Code of Ethics, Standards of Conduct, Emergency
Preparedness Responses, Safety Protocols, SMBHS Policies &
Procedures, and assures program meets and maintains standards in
accordance with regulatory requirements.

STANDARD SHIFTS:
Shifts
worked will vary between programs in accordance with staffing needs.
Shift differential apply to base at variable rates depending on
shifts worked.

7:00 am - 3:30 pm
3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

11:00 pm - 7:30 am
7:00 am - 11:30 pm (weekends)

Full Time positions range from 32 hours (weekend plan) to 40
hours weekly.
On-Call (PRN) positions are also available for
workers who require flexibility, or who are seeking part-time or
occasional work.

Requirements

You must be 21 years of age, be a high school graduate (or
equivalent)

No criminal convictions relating to acts of aggression, drug
use, or sex crimes (in accordance in OKDHS regulations). Any failure
to disclose information or listing of false information during the
application process will disqualify you as a candidate for
employment.

Current licensure as LPN or RN

Pass Pre-employment Physical & Drug Screen.

Maintain current CPR and First Aid Training.

Maintain current certification in Satori SAMA (system for
management of aggressive patient behavior)
We do accept nurses
at our Sheridan location who are currently in good standing within
the Peer Nurse program. Peer Nurse positions are limited based upon
supervisory availability.

We prefer applicants with the following:
BSN.

Previous work experience in a school ! or mental health
setting.

Experience with supervision and prevention of seclusion,
restraint, and early intervention.

Experience facilitating coping skills, social skills, and
related rehabilitative groups.

Previous experience in milieu management

Experience in management of aggressive patient behavior
