30 hours per week plus benefits:

Job Description : Under the supervision of the Programs Manager, the Nurse Advocate assists in the implementation of the medical and pharmacy benefits of the IHPC. Medical and pharmacy benefit administration duties include activities such as authorization for medical services, assistance with access to specialty care, member and provider support, referral to community resources, quality management and utilization review. The Nurse Advocate will provide limited medical based support to the CareHub Community Health Worker Program.

Requirements and Qualifications :

Applicant must possess a current Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan and have at least 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, community/public health, or other similar clinic environment. Some case management experience preferred.

Skills: The position requires excellent organizational, writing and communication skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word. Must be highly proficient in medical terminology and understand the health care system. The Nurse Advocate's work will encompass communication with a wide variety of people, so you must display compassion and understanding.

Compensation: Starting rate of $32.69 per hour + Benefits.
