Performs the functions in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned patient care: manage supplies and equipment; promote teamwork with physician and personnel of other departments; performing age-specific care as appropriate under the director of the registered nurse in charge of the unit.
Requirements:
- Previous work as a nursing assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, understand and follow instructions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Clean, well kept appearance.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills outlined in the job performance standards.
- Must be able to provide basic nursing care to! expectant mothers and newborns.
- High school graduate! or equivalent
