PURSUANT TO 72 O.S., SECTION 63.7, PRIORITY CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS

Must be willing and able to travel to facilities statewide as requested.

MAJOR WORK DUTIES:
Position assigned to provide program ! administration for agency-wide education and training programs! , which also include medical, nursing (clinical and non-clinical), and supervisory training programs; draft and implement administrative rules and policies for programs; establish training programs critical to quality care of the seven veterans centerÂ's residents; plan and coordinate education assistance programs in accordance with Â'Quality Workforce for OklahomaÂ's Heroes ActÂ" and other applicable laws and rules for staff education, training, and tuition assistance. Under administrative direction, plans, organizes and directs the education and training programs for employee development for the agency. This will include oversight of all phases of the programs and functional oversight of training and in-service staff at veterans centers and other agency divisions; responsible for coordination of training involving supervision of nursing and/or related medical staff, assessment and evaluation of training programs, consultation with management to develop training program go! als, plans and programs, conducts local and on-site meetings and training, coordinates education training and tuition assistance programs with educational institutions and schools; directs or participates in various committees related to the delivery of health care programs and support services. Performs related work and travel as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of adult training and development, principles and practices of employee developmental programs, curriculum development, training evaluation techniques and multi-media instruction. Ability to learn and apply agency policies and procedures and federal and state laws, rules, regulations and accreditation standards pertinent to the agency; research, develop and present learning opportunity programs; evaluate effectiveness of training courses; supervise nursing and/or related medical staff training staff; communicate effectively, both orally and in wri! ting, to interpret and apply policy materials, to exchange information ! and ideas, to solicit ideas and to establish and maintain effective working relationships and present training classes.

Minimum Qualifications/Education and Experience: Possession of a valid permanent unrestricted Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and five years of professional nursing, three of which must have been in a supervisory, managerial, consultative or administrative capacity in public or private nursing management plus two years of experience in hospital or health care education, training, or staff development.
