Job Function
Performs routine pati! ent care functions such as physician assistance, patient placement, testing, information gathering, nursing duties, chaperoning, supply maintenance, scheduling, conflict resolution, and personnel supervision.
Department Preferences
Certified as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant, and have CPR certification

Physical Requirements:
Outpatient family medical environment and exposure. The essential functions of this position will involve mobility (walking; being able to stand for long periods of time during patient exams/procedures, etc.).
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs in the function of patient positioning and assistance.
Ability to pull including using the upper body to exert force to! draw, drag, haul or tug objects; to push including using the ! upper body to press against an object with force; reach including extending the arm or hand; stand including standing for short or extended time periods; engage in repetitive motions including movements of the hands, wrists or fingers; grasp including applying pressure to objects with fingers or hands; walk including moving by foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for extended periods of time or over a long distance; feel including perceiving size, shape, temperature and texture; touch including finger dexterity; speak including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others; hear including perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound; see including unique visual requirements above and beyond the standard ability to see with or without corrective eyewear such as color vision, depth perception, etc.
Required Educati! on and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent, AND 6 months experience in Patient Care.
Will accept training in lieu of experience.

Required Skills and Proficiencies:

Ability to interact professionally with healthcare practitioners and patients.

Must be able to report to the work location regularly and in a timely manner.
