Title: Registered NurseReports To: Unit DirectorSalary: $23.00 - $28.00/HourPosition: Part-Time, Temp to Hire (24 hours a week)Job Summary: Tulsa organization is looking to hire a Full-Time Registered Nurse for their facility. This position will report directly to the Unit Director. Working hours are Saturday and Sunday 7:00am 7:00pm.Duties and Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for consumers ages 10 - 17 admitted to the Clients facility. Upon admission, determines and allocates the type and amount of care required to satisfy the needs of each c! onsumer.

Ensures the effectiveness of care provided t! hrough maintenance and review of clinical charts. Observes consumers symptoms and reports on the conditions of pediatric consumers, notifies physician if condition warrants. Intervenes in crisis situations, utilizing verbal intervention effectively and physical interventions as needed, articulating to the consumer the justification for use of limit setting, seclusion or restraint. Monitors and evaluates all consumers in seclusion and/or restraint to ensure least restrictive measures and adherence to the Clients policy.

Administers medications and treatments per physicians orders. Audit charts for documentation to be updated. Assist physician on daily rounds. Order drugs for the facility, if required.

Processes documents signed by Physician; Processes Treatment Plans. Coordinates the activities of work at the facility on a per shift basis to assure that established policy and procedures are being properly carried out. Functions as a member of an inter-disci! plinary team; Participates in inter-disciplinary team meetings. Maintains continuity of care through use of nursing care plan and inter-disciplinary treatment plan.

May assist or facilitate the admission, discharge or transfer of pediatric consumers; May orient and inform the family and/or the consumer of the general care plan and facilitys procedures and routine. Interprets policy and procedure to determine conformance to recognized standards. Maintain current certification in CAPE, First Aid and CPR. Participates in staff meetings, maintains, stay abreast of rules and regulations of oversight bodies (organizations such as ODMHSAS, DHS, OCCY, CARF, DHS-OCA, OJA).

Demonstrates a positive attitude, treating others in a courteous, respectful and professional manner. Demonstrates ability to treat others with courtesy, respect and professionalism. Provides professional nursing services and assumes responsibility for the direct care of assigned consumers, exper! iencing trauma related adjustment problem(s), emotional disorder(s), ps! ychiatric illness or substance abuse. Other duties as assigned.Experience: Possession of a valid current OK license as a Registered Nurse approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to practice nursing Two (2) years of professional nursing experience, including one year in a specialized area of nursing, appropriate for the health care setting; or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and one year relevant experience working with children in another capacity.

Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and techniques; medical supplies, sanitation, personal hygiene and life safety policies, procedures, principles and practices; nutrition and diet therapy; principles and methods of teaching; nursing standards for institutional certification; departmental procedures; pediatric psychiatry and human resources principles and methods. Skill in developing, planning and administering an effective nursing care program and applying nursing care techniques, assessing condition! and needs of pediatric consumers and in training subordinate personnel.Supervisor Requirements: The professional hired will be responsible for the direct supervision of any staff.Knowledge and Abilities: Provides professional nursing services and assumes responsibility for the direct care of assigned clients, experiencing trauma related adjustment problem(s), emotional disorder(s), psychiatric illness or substance abuse. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and techniques; medical supplies, sanitation, personal hygiene and life safety policies, procedures, principles and practices; co-occurring disorder and detox knowledge; nutrition and diet therapy; principles and methods of teaching; nursing standards for institutional certification; departmental procedures; pediatric psychiatry and human resources principles and methods. Skill in developing, planning and administering an effective nursing care program and applying nursing care techniques, assessing condi! tion and needs of pediatric consumers and in training subordinate perso! nnel.

Ability to communicate in an emotionally intelligent manner with clear, polite, and respectful interpersonal communication in person, in written format and by telephone, with employees, administration, community partners, referral sources, and clients and their families. Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements. Must demonstrate professional and ethical behavior as well as the ability to maintain strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding client and employee information. Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
