BLS Cert from AHA or SJHI within 30 days of employment Must be in your senior year of a registered nursing program and scheduled to graduate within two (2) semesters. A Senior Nurs! ing Assistant functions as an unlicensed care provider within a defined scope of practice. After verification of competency by a registered nurse and as defined in this job description, the Senior Nursing Assistant, under the supervision of a registered nurse, is allowed to perform all duties of a nursing assistant, as well as other technical skills which have been learned in a nursing program and for which competency has been previously demonstrated under the supervision of a faculty member. A Senior Nursing Assistant may not perform tasks which require nursing assessment, judgment, evaluation and teaching during implementation.
