The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to function in an assistive role to the licensed nurse in the provision of technical and environmental patient care activities as delegated by and under the supervision of the licensed staff. The CNA will be responsible for: activities of daily living, elimination, infection control, body mechanics, safety and emergency care as indicated.
He/she is expected to adhere! to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Ok! lahoma Nursing Practice Act.
