Individuals within this job classification are accountable for providing nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Emergency Technician must be a! ble to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to function in an assistive role to the licensed nurse in the provision of technical and environmental patient care activities. The Emergency Tech will be responsible for activities of patient care which involves specialty training such as burn care, orthopedics, and sterile procedures. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
Requirements:
requires an Advanced Unlicensed Assistant Certification
