Essential Functions:

• Assess the patient's condition and related needs; initiate appropriate actions to meet the physical, psychological, social, preventative, and rehabilitative needs of the patient.
• Collects, records, and communicates pertinent information that is relevant to the patients care in the providers office.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and completes pre-certification on all in-patient and outpatient surgeries.
• Maintains logbooks (sample meds, refrigeration, emergency box, defibrillator, etc.) per policy.

Accountability:
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager of Practice Management with oversight by the hospital's nursing department. The Clinic Nurse has no supervisory duties. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is held accountable for maintaining the confidentiality of any patient inform gained in any way. Responsible for respecting and taking care of physical assets in his/her area (i.e., medical equipment, instruments, machinery).

Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Education, training, experience:
Qualifications:

• Valid Oklahoma licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Medical Assistant or Registered Nurse.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
