Description: Hillcrest Hospital South is currently seeking to employ Endoscopy Tech right now, this job will be placed in Oklahoma. Provides direct patient care based on individual need according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and within the scope of the practice of the Certifi! ed Nursing Assistant, after initial orientation and completion of a skills check list. Assists physician during endoscopy procedures. Responsible for care, cleaning and troubleshooting endoscopic equipment. Maintains stock levels of supplies and equipment used in the endoscopy area.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides direct personal care under the supervision of the nurse within the scope of practice of the Certified Nursing Assistant.
2. Participates as a contributory member of the interdisciplinary team.
3. Completes all documentation within departmental requirements and timelines.
4. Participates in the responsible management of all departmental/hospital resources.
5. Assumes responsibility for meeting annual in-service requirements and ongoing personal development.
6 Assists physician and registered nurse in carrying out endoscopy procedures.
7 Ages served: adolescent, adult, and geriatric.!
Requirements:
1. Ability to meet minimum ! hospital hiring standards.
2. High school diploma.
3. Current BLS for the HealthCare Provider.
4. Experience and competence assisting with endoscopy procedures.
