Position Description
The Warehouse Manager reports to the DC Assistant Manager and is responsible for motivating and developing a team of 2 direct reports and 50+ indirect reports to ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed and Business Operating Metrics are exceeded on a daily and monthly basis. The Warehouse Manager provides direction and leadership to ensure execution of distribution center's strategy, employee engagement, development, and customer satisfaction. This person will contribute to the development of the distribution center's strategy and tactics while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies and requirements.
Ensure the security and accountability of materials and goods. Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in all Distribution Operations training programs and functions. Focus on process improvements for all warehouse functions. Give work direction, resolve problems, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of all work . Maintain the integrity of the Engineered Standards program. Complete performance evaluations on direct reports and ensures timely completion of non-exempt performance evaluations. Develop a strong team of leaders providing coaching and appropriate development opportunities for direct reports. Ensure high quality employee attraction, engagement and development at all levels. Assess existing staff needs and work with managers to identify opportunities. Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress toward meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel if necessary; as well as recognizing team and individual successes. Alerts the OM and DCM of any critical or potentially critical issues. Delegate tasks with discretion while maintaining personal responsibility and accountability for follow through on such tasks.
Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Minimum Requirements
4+ Years of Operation's experience including 3+ years of Supervisor experience.
Education
4-year degree or equivalent experience
