Location: Broken Arrow Oklahoma

Description: Northeastern State University is currently seeking to employ Part Time Faculty - Biology right now, this job will be placed in Oklahoma. The College of Science and Health Professions at Northeastern State University is seeking part time faculty to teach day and/or evening classes in a variety of disciplines at the Broken Arrow, Muskogee and Tahlequah campuses.

Faculty teaching may include distance based courses, including hybrid and fully online classes.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate level courses in the following subject areas: plant biology, animal biology, cellular biology, physiology, anatomy. Specific courses to be determined by need and area of specialty.

Experience

Previous teaching experience preferred.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in appropriate discipline required. Doctorate degree is preferred.

College/Department Statement

The College of Science and Health Professions currently has 76 full time and 18 part-time faculty members in three academic departments: the Department of Natural Science, the Department of Health Professions, and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The College serves approximately 1,100 undergraduate majors in 13 different degree programs with specific areas of specialization in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Fish and Wildlife Biology, Organismic Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Human Development, Early Care, Science Education (Biology and Chemistry), Mathematics Education, Dietetics and Nutrition, Speech Language Pathology, Nursing (RN â†' BSN ), and Medical Laboratory Science (BS and MLT â†' MLS ). These undergraduate programs are complemented by graduate programs in Mathematics Education, Science Education, Nursing Education, and Speech Language Pathology. The College has a major focus toward pre-professional health prerequisite preparation for careers in Medicine (Allopathic, Osteopathic, Chiropractic), Optometry, Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy, Dosimetry, Photon Therapy, Physician Assistant education, Podiatry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.
